Pennsylvania Power and Light (PP&L)


Challenge


In 2015, PP&L wanted to develop two products called STEM and RESTORE. Both products are to assist electrical crews restore electrical power to consumers. The product's users are (1) field technicians, and (2) command center users (dispatchers and power outage managers). The product's target platforms are iOS, Android (mobile / tablet), and Web.

Strategy


Use .NET 4.5, WebApi 2, MVC, Telerik's AppBuilder Icenium, Angular 1.5, Angular Material Design, ArcGIS, and Oracle in an Agile Scrum environment to embark on a 12 month RAD project to have these products in the hands of users by July 1, 2016.

Result


A Cognitive Generation Enterprises consultant went onsite to the client's headquarters in Allentown, PA and worked with two teams (4 and 6 members in size) as a Sr. Software Engineer to assist in product development.
